Quarantine Boat Q/L Alvero
As the leading fiberglass boat manufacturer in the Philippines, Stoneworks Specialist International Corporation was commissioned by the Bureau of Quarantine Zamboanga City to build a quarantine boat which it turned over last October 2020. Named Q/L Alvero, the quarantine boat is distinctive and is the first of its kind to have its own isolation room. The boat is for the use of health personnels especially at times like these when we are in the middle of a pandemic. Its amenities include a toilet room, cabin room, isolation room and two utility sinks. It can accommodate up to 8 crew/doctors and 2 patients.
The Q/L Alvero is a 17.20m fiberglass boat with twin 600 HP Cummins engines. Its top speed is 20 knots @ 3800 RPM. It is powered by Fischer Panda 10000i PMS with a built-in 10KVA diesel marine genset. Its fuel capacity stands at 2100 liters having a range of 2100 nautical miles. The ship is protected by a D Marine Fender measured at 250mm x 300mm. Features that come standard include a VHF Radio, PA system and a GPS Garmin Aquamap 1252xs.
The quarantine boat can also be used by the BOQ as a rescue vessel for areas where there are no accessible hospitals and to provide alternatives for fast evacuation in emergency situations. As such, Stoneworks Specialist International Corporation is proud to have built a product that will enable the local government to serve its residents. It builds its products in its facility in General Trias, Cavite and aims to continue building composite solutions for everyday use as it has been doing. Some of its most recent projects are sea ambulances, responders, patrol and speed boats. If you are interested to know more on what the firm can do for you, give us a call at (02) 8664 8370 or email .
